Why isn’t the standard I need showing up under ‘fetch items’ when creating a test or browsing items? If you do not see a specific standard listed under 'fetch items' when creating a test or browsing items in Pathways, it may be because there are no items aligned to that particular standard. If you believe Pathways is supposed to have items for a standard you are unable to find, it could be because an item bank has not been activated for your district. Contact the Pathways support team to check if an item bank has yet to be activated.
Why can’t I find my content area when creating a test? Available content areas (e.g. MS College and Career Readiness content areas) must be activated by the Pathways team for each district. If your content area is not available in the list, it is possible that this set of standards has not been activated by the Pathways team. Contact Pathways support to check if your state standards have yet to be activated.
Can I edit Pathways-made assessments? No, any test created by Pathways - Snapshots, Benchmarks, Power Checks, etc. - cannot be edited. However, questions on these assessments can be deactivated. Contact Pathways support by chat or email if you need an item on a Pathways-made assessment to be deactivated.
Why am I unable to edit an assessment that I created? Teachers are unable to edit an assessment they did not create. If you are unable to edit an assessment that you did create, however, it is likely because the assessment has been assigned by you or another teacher. To be able to edit the assessment, see Deleting an Assignment. If you do not want to delete the assignment, you can also create a copy of the assessment and edit the copy. See Copying an Assessment to understand this process.
Why am I unable to edit an assessment? Teachers are unable to edit an assessment they did not create. If you are trying to edit an assessment that is not your own, it will not work. To edit an assessment that is not your own, make a copy of it first, then edit the copy. See Copying an Assessment to understand this process.
Who is able to copy an assessment? Pathways created assessments such as Benchmarks, Powerchecks, Stepping Stones, or Snapshots cannot be copied by anyone. District level administrators can copy any district level assessments created by the district. School level administrators can copy any school level or teacher level assessments created at their school. Teachers can copy any teacher level assessments created at their school, including assessments created by other teachers.
