Viewing Student Mastery Zone

The Student Mastery Zone report provides information regarding overall mastery for individual students, summarized by standard or strand on the assessment. This report allows teachers to understand which standard or strand a student most needs to review.


  1. Select which school, teacher, class period, and student to view. 

  2. View aggregate assessment data and toggle between students. 

  3. Select report type: 

    1. Standards: x-axis: code of standard; y-axis: percent correct for each standard based on the student.

    2. Strands: x-axis: strand abbreviation; y-axis: percent correct for each strand based on the student. 

    3. Overall: shows overall percent correct for the test. 

  4. Hide and/or show school, district-wide, and expected (ELS) mastery. 

    1. Student: the student’s average percent correct mastery for standard, strand, or overall.

    2. School: school wide average percent correct mastery for standard, strand, or overall. 

    3. District: district wide average percent correct mastery for standard, strand, or overall. 

    4. Expected (ELS): The expected (ELS) average provides an expected average percent correct for the student based on the student’s baseline PL (displayed in the header information). The expected average is available at the standard and strand levels as well as for the test overall. 

  5. Mastery Zone: The green lines at 60% and 80% provide a frame of reference for educators to gauge content mastery in standards and strands for each student.
