Viewing Performance Distribution

The Performance Distribution report provides a visual representation of the distribution of student scores for any assessment. Student scores are distributed by performance level projections for Snapshot and Benchmark assessments and by quintiles of percentage correct for all other assessments. 

1. Select the school, teacher, and period you wish to view. 
2. Find general assessment data here.
3. Choose to view the PL Summary or the Performance Distribution report here. PL Summary displays the projected performance levels of each students’ scores. Performance Distribution separates the scores for the selected group of students into quintiles. PL Summary is only available for Pathways Snapshots and Benchmarks. 
4. Percentage of Students (y-axis): percent of students who fall within each quintile. Percent Correct (x-axis): percent correct on the assessment. Hover over bars to view the exact percentage of students each bar represents. 
5. Raw Score: total points obtained. Pct. Corr.: Percentage correct. Cumulative Pct.: Cumulative percentage (Cumulative percentage indicates the percentage of students with scores at or below a certain percent correct). # of students: The number of students with the same raw score, percent correct, and cumulative percentage. 
6. Click on icon to see student name(s).
7. See students that are on the edge of a performance level or quintile, with the opportunity to grow into a new category.
