The Predictive Benchmark package includes state-aligned assessments designed to provide educators with actionable data insights to guide instructional planning. The package consists of two primary assessment types:
- Snapshot Benchmarks: Available for Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies, Snapshots serve as formative assessments tailored to align with district pacing guides and content priorities. While districts determine their own schedules, Snapshots are typically administered at the conclusion of the first and/or second term.
Note: For ELA, due to the spiraling nature of the ELA curriculum and passage-based design, ELA utilizes three comprehensive benchmarks instead of Snapshots. These increase in complexity progressively from the first term through the third term.
- Comprehensive Benchmarks: These assessments are built to mirror the blueprint, format, item types, and rigor of state assessments. Administered once the majority of a course's content has been covered, these prepare students for state testing. Results enable educators to identify areas requiring remediation before the state assessment.
The Predictive Benchmark Cycle
| Timeframe | Math, Science, Social Studies | English Language Arts (ELA) |
| Term 1 | Snapshot 1: Formative check on early pacing. | Comprehensive 1: Baseline; standard rigor. |
| Term 2 | Snapshot 2: Formative check on mid-year content. | Comprehensive 2: Mid-point; increased complexity. |
| Term 3 | Comprehensive: Final state-mirrored prep. | Comprehensive 3: Peak complexity; final prep. |
