Making the Most of Pathways to Proficiency

Modified on Thu, 29 May at 1:10 PM

In the Pathways to Proficiency portal, there are three categories: Teach, Measure, and Grow:

Making the most of Pathways to Proficiency will involve the successful navigation and understanding of each of these sections.

Teach: Targeted Resources

The Teach section, also referred to as “Pathways,” will be the place to find standard specific teaching resources. By navigating to each standard, you will be able to find important documents, skill plans, lesson planning resources, and “Power Checks” (7-10 question reviews). Instead of power checks, ELA has ‘Stepping Stones’ which include vocabulary and comprehension boosters in the form of bite-sized assessments.

Measure: Targeted Assessment

The Measures section will be the place to both create and access assessments, items, and assignments. When administering a test, the ‘Assignments’ section will be the place to use proctor view, customize the testing experience, and view student progress. The ‘Assignments’ section will also be the place to publish and complete a test in order to initiate report creation. The Measures section will be where you access Pathways Snapshots and Benchmarks.

Grow: Targeted Reports

The Grow section will be the place where you view all assessment reports in addition to creating targeted worksheets or online reviews for students based on their assessment results. The reports range from district-level to student-level. The analyses range from item level to strand level and include longitudinal reports across assessments. Pathways aims to break down student data in a way that is applicable and productive. The Grow section is the place you will utilize this student data.
